Spring Basket Craft

There is still room in our Spring Basket Craft program this Saturday, May 18 at 1:00 p.m. With a few easy origami steps, a pair of scissors, and some ribbon to decorate, you will create a beautiful spring basket to fill with sweets and treats! For Grades 4 - 6.

Have Book – Will Travel!

Summer Reading Club for Toddlers – 5^th Graders

June 3 –July 14

 

 

Take a ride aboard a wonderful book with Have Book – Will Travel! reading club! Children can earn great prizes for reaching weekly reading goals, and will receive a free paperback book (generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library), a ticket to a Schaumburg Boomers baseball game, and a free pass to “Pump It Up” for completing all six weeks of the program. Registration will begin on May 28 for Wauconda Area Library district residents, and out-of-district patrons may register beginning on June 4. All books read for this program must be checked out from Wauconda Area Library – so put your library card to good use! And don’t forget – when you pick up your reading log, be sure to participate in some fun drop-in, kick-off activities such as the Library Gnome Hunt, Around the World in 8 Questions, My Suitcase Is Full, and more!

Winter Reading Club "Ice Cream for Books!"

Get ready for a sweet treat with Ice Cream For Books winter reading club! For five weeks, select tried-and-true favorites or a brand new flavor of books. You choose! Scoop up fun prizes and restaurant coupons each week. Then to top it all off - take home a free paperback book, generously provided by the Friends of the Library, for completing your reading goal all five weeks. As an additional bonus - all kids who finish the club will earn a chance to win season passes to Great America! All books read for the Winter Reading Club must be checked out from the Wauconda Area Library.


Be sure to fill out a form for a Surprise Reading Kit when you register for the winter reading club. A personalized set of recommended books will be selected based on your reading preferences and will be placed in a fun tote bag that is yours to keep! Requests will be accepted from January 2 - 13, and the Surprise Reading Kits will be ready for pick-up on Monday, January 21.
